Welcome to Mentis! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Mentis platform, including the AI-powered dashboard, essay assistance tools, smart scheduling features, and university application management services available at www.mentis-ed.ai (the “Platform”).

By accessing or using Mentis, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our services.

1. Definitions

  • “Mentis,” “we,” “our,” or “us” refers to Mentis EdTech, the provider of the platform.
  • “User,” “you,” or “your” refers to any individual or entity accessing or using the Mentis platform.
  • “Services” refers to all features and functionalities available on the Mentis platform, including AI-powered college counseling, application tracking, and essay enhancement.
  • “Content” refers to all text, images, AI-generated responses, and other materials provided through the Platform.

2. Eligibility

To use Mentis, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old or have parental/guardian consent if younger.
  • Agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Not be prohibited from using our services under applicable laws.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration & Security

  • To access certain features, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

By using Mentis, you agree that you will not:

  • Share or distribute AI-generated essays or responses as your original work without review or modification.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or exploit any part of the platform.
  • Interfere with the security, integrity, or performance of the platform.
  • Share your login credentials with others.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Mentis provides AI-generated suggestions for essays, university research, and scheduling. However, users should independently verify the accuracy of any AI-generated information.

Important Notes:

  • Mentis does not guarantee acceptance into any university.
  • You are solely responsible for the content you submit in applications and should review all AI-generated responses for accuracy, originality, and ethical compliance.

6. Privacy & Data Protection

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

  • By using Mentis, you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of your data for the purpose of improving our services.
  • We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant privacy regulations where applicable.

7. Subscription & Payments

7.1 Subscription Plans

Mentis offers both free and premium plans. Details of the pricing and features of each plan are available on our website.

7.2 Billing & Payment

  • If you purchase a paid subscription, you agree to provide valid payment information and authorize us to charge the applicable fees.
  • Subscription payments are non-refundable, except as required by law.

7.3 Cancellation & Refunds

  • Mentis is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
  • We do not guarantee error-free performance, uninterrupted access, or guaranteed admissions results.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mentis is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

  • If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to arbitration or the jurisdiction of the courts in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
